Brabantia Soil Spear is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very solid and robust Bought this to enable a new position for the rotary line. Locating it into an area of compacted shingle and gravel involved digging ground out, hence the deduction of 1 star! It may be fine into grassed areas and the same robust design/size that make the quality evident, make it slightly more difficult to install into other ground types. Cover fits well and is easier to extract due to the raised lips, so my nails won't get damaged!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does what its designed for well made and easy to fix into ground athough as I prefer a more permanent solution I used a bag of postcrete

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very sturdy I had to buy this soil spear because the new rotary line I bought was slightly too big for the permanent spear that we had already which was set in cement. The spear had to be hammered into the soil using a piece of wood to protect the top of the spear. It was difficult enough to do this so we did it by stages but it was soon level with the ground and extremely sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks very sturdy Unfortunately it is still on the lawn waiting for my husband to hammer it in. Once he has done that I will be able to review properly. I have only had it 3 weeks so I guess that's not too long. Hopefully he will do it before the summer is over!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Spear Bought this soil spear to erect my clothes airer. It went into the ground fairly easily & is absolutely solid. Delighted

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't get it in the ground. The product itself is sturdy and well made but we simply couldn't get it into the ground in the way described on the box (using a rubber mallet and piece of wood). We have sandy soil so it shouldn't have been a problem. Even removed the turf and dug a small hole to help the process...but to no avail. Gave up, somewhat frustrated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best around. The best price around Buying it from here was the best idea. It was the best price around. Ordered at 2100 collected the next day 0900. That's it! Fitted in 15 min. This is my second one to change the location of the airer for the sun. We use both places

Hi, thanks for your question. You would need the large soil spear for the 60m airer, and this cover would be suitable: Http://www.Dunelm-Mill.Com/shop/minky-Rotary-Airer-Cover-58498. I hope this helps, thanks.

What size spear would you recommend for a brabantia 30m line?

    Asked by: Dave
Hi Dave, thanks for your question. The Brabantia 3 Arm 30m Compact Rotary Line comes supplied with a 35mm plastic ground tube with a closing cap, this is easily placed into concrete. Alternatively, the Brabantia 35mm Soil Spear for £7.99 should be what you are looking for. I hope this helps.

Hi there, If I would like to buy a 50m airer, what spear size should I buy? Thanks. Sand

    Asked by: Sand
Hi, thanks for your question. The 50m airer fits the 4.5cm spear, however this comes supplied with our 50m airer so would not need to be bought separately, unless you wanted two locations to transfer the airer between. I hope this helps, thanks.
