Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roman blinds for kitchen. Just put our new blinds up today, easy enough to assemble but the only problem we found was that one of the blinds (the rail part) had a dent in it but as this is hidden from sight it's not too big a deal and the blinds themselves are very nice. Thinking the dent must have happened in transit?

I have read lots of questions & answers re cutting the blinds - I understand the general thought is it could be risky to cut. I would like to know about the fabric - is it the same fabric (material stuck to the plastic blackout lining) as the roller blinds? I was looking at the various grey blackout roller blinds too (herringbone finish & linen finish) as an alternative, but if the fabric makeup is the same I'll take my chances & cut the roman blind! Please advise!!

Hi, thanks for your question. The makeup is slightly different, as the Roman blind has a higher percentage of polyester. Thanks.

I have a 61cm width window with 100cm drop, but was thinking of getting the 138cm and not opening all the way. Does this blind operate in a way that can be stopped, so that it doesn't drop all the way down?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. The blind can be locked in place when partially extended, or pulled all the way up. I hope this helps.

The draw strings are on the wrong side for the orientation of my children's bedroom. Can the draw strings be changed to the other side at all?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Carlitos, the draw strings are only able to be placed on the right side this is due to the mechanical string being positioned here. Hope this helps

can these blinds be cut down to size or do they come in fixed sizes - failing that could you recommend blinds that do ?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Victor, thanks for your question. In theory, yes Roman blinds can be trimmed to size, however, due to the nature of the blind and the way it functions and the mechanisms inside, extreme care must be taken. It is not normally advisable to alter Roman blinds because of this. Also please note, that once cut, the blind cannot be returned. Roller Blinds however can be reduced in width and length and full instructions on how to do so are included in the pack. Kind regards

Hi there, Can this blind be fixed above the window recess onto the wall or does it have to be attached on either side? Thanks, Lauren

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Lauren, thanks for your question. The brackets for the Roman Blinds allow for top, side or face fixing, so yes you will be able to attach this above the window recess. Kind regards
