Rated 3 out of 5 by from too small, I'd only recommend it for teens Ok, so my first impression was wow it's so cheap, a janome Sewing machine for sixty quid. Then I reserved it and went to pick it up. The box was very small so I refund to buy it. Not a standard size. I can't mentioned how it works because I haven't used it, so my recommendation is this is for teens who wants one to learn etc. Plenty of choice out there for adults

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Little Machine I purchased this sewing machine for my wife to replace a very cheap chinese one of a similar size. The difference is night and day .This machine is of a very high quality as their full size ones but in a compact size.Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, uncomplicated and very very easy to use I have used two sewing machines before - both Singer units from about 1950. Both were as basic as this one. I bought this one because I'm no expert and I have a few small jobs to do. This little machine is a gem. Follow the page-by-page steps to set it up (very simple) and just get going. This machine does not have variable speed which is not so good fro a pro but it will stop the machine running away with itself if you're a beginner. It does various widths of running stitch, button holes, zig-zag (good for soft toys) and the reverse is very simple. It did help that I'd done it before but I think a novice could pick it up. There are things that you'll need to know no matter what machine you have - like remembering to raise the needle when you change stitch or remove the fabric. I don't know how this machine would behave after many many hours of work, but nothing suggests it would misbehave if looked after. If you're a beginner or a hobbyist, I think this is terrific value for money.

Hello I am interested in buying the Janome petite DMX100 machine. Does a mains adaptor have to be used with it, please? Does anything else have to be purchased extra to the machine in order to use it? Thank you best wishes Jane Stagg

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. This uses a mains power supply, which is included with the machine, and nothing else extra needs to be bought with the machine. I hope this helps.

Hello Tommy, thank you for your question. This sewing machine is suitable for denim as long as you have the correct needle. Please also be extra careful when sewing over the thicker side seams. I hope this helps.

Would this machine be suitable for stitching hems on jeans. thank you

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Tennis Lover thanks for your question. We would advise using the DMX200 or DMX300 for heavier duty tasks with sewing, these are designed for heavy materials and fabrics such as jeans or curtains. However, you could change the foot to accomodate heavier fabrics on this machine. I hope this helps. Kind regards.
