Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time user I bought this cooker and was very impressed with what it did. Having never owned or used a slow cooker before I was very impressed with the results. Always enjoyed making stews but a couple of hours in a large steamy kitchen with reasonable results, was all I was used to getting. Now, no steamy kitchen, melt in the mouth results even with cheap cuts and can prepare in the morning, have a day out and come back to an appetising meal all ready for me. Brilliant!! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad For the price the slow cooker is adequate. It is a cheap no frills product an average build quality. This can be seen by the lack of fit on the lid, the loose screws protruding from the bottom, and the cheap materials used in the construction. Still, for the price I believe these are bearable issues as the slow cooker does its job as intended. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Was bought for me as a gift. I am very pleased with the product. Having a tin-style cooking pot is really useful; saves time and washing up! Also much lighter than the ceramic pots. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It I bought this as a replacement for another that didn't work so well and I love it, it works perfectly a slow cooker has become my new favourite way to cook. Cooker is a good size not too bulky and light which makes transferring contents really easy. Also added bones that it can also go onto the hob if needed in case you need a quick heat of any contents without transferring it into a pan. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use cooker. Bought for my (elderly) mother-in-law but I tested it out first on a beef stew, chicken stew, rice pudding and producing chicken stock from a carcass. For both stews I just placed all the ingredients into the pan and then cooked on high for the required time; no searing. Both turned out really well. I tried cooking the rice pudding on medium but this wouldn’t have cooked the pudding in the specified time (according to the recipe in the back of the manual), so I switched to high and this worked okay with an end product similar to what you’d get from a conventional oven. Again needed to cook the chicken carcass on high as medium wasn’t simmering the water. Slightly worried about the non-stick surface on the pan as a little bit has come away on the top edge; will have to keep an eye on this aspect! My mother-in-law has used the pan twice now, also cooking beef stew and rice pudding successfully. The outside of the cooker does become hot so there is some heat inefficiency here. It is very easy to clean with both pan and lid going in the dishwasher. The pan is very light, so easy to handle for my mother-in-law, and it is supposedly tough enough to survive a drop. All in all, as long as the non-stick surface lasts this will have been a good purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
