Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! Bought this iron a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a replacement for my 14 year-old Morphy Richards iron, not because it was broken, by just because the aluminium soleplate was getting a bit scratched and tarnished. The old iron has been so good that I'm glad that I managed to find another Morphy Richards iron to replace it. I looked at all the brands, and read the user reviews, when making my decision. Philips make good irons but lots of people said that the 2m cables on them are too short and so needed to be used with an extension cable (the Morphy Richards cable is 3m which is perfect). Quite a few manufactures had complaints of water leaking from the jets (this iron doesn't seem to suffer from this). From reading the reviews I was sure that I wanted at least a ceramic sole plate but preferably a T-Ionic soleplate. This iron had T-Ionic which does glide very smoothly. I generates a very impressive amount of steam (the steam jet is truly awesome!) It's a bit heavier than my old iron, but this is because overall it's a bit bigger, and so I can iron quite a bit quicker. So, in summary, I really like it. :-)
