Satina Dia. 25/28mm Matte Black Extendable Curtain Pole is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Packaging all broken at one end and as a result finial all scratched. Where the rail extends the curtain rings get stuck when trying to draw the curtains.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and classic The rail looks great and has a nice solid feel to it. The screws and plugs included with the pack are a bit lightweight, and let it down a tad. So I used my own. Overall though, very happy

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best but does the job... This is coming from a person who has never hung a curtain pole before and finds DIY more destructive than anything, but my Dad wasn't around to help and I was sick of staring at the box sat next to a bare window. How hard could it be? Overall it took about 15-20 mins, it was quite a small window so I didn't bother with the whole hacksaw business. The instructions aren't entirely clear though - where is this "joining piece"? More to the point, WHAT is it? I assumed that it was the one piece that I needed (and surprisingly, the one piece that was missing) considering that I now have a super-extending curtain pole with nothing to secure it to size. Clearer instructions would have helped - I think I just glanced at the A4 piece of paper before realising that it was more of a bog standard "how to hang a curtain rail" (for a 20-something like me, thanks Dunelm but I could always just look on YouTube). What I needed and what I lacked, was an overly-detailed, IKEA-style instruction booklet, complete with numbered parts and step-by-step instructions for DIY-phobics like myself, on this particular product. I'll skip the actual 'hanging of the rail' result as I'm sure that's more of a novices error on my part. Let's just say I had no power drill, but I now have a loose left bracket, a wonky pole (let's hope only I can notice it) and achey arms... And finally, I do agree with a couple of other reviews on here about the finials. It is a job and a half to get them on and off. Do they screw on, or just pull off? I guess I'll never know. But unless you're the type of person who enjoys standing with your arms above your head for a solid 5 mins (I won't ask about your personal life) attempting to de-finial a curtain pole with one hand and holding 200cm worth of material in the other, I'm assuming you won't find it the best task. Overall I can't grumble at £20 for a small window, and I guess I'll never really solve the mystery of the missing "joining piece". The curtain pole is staying up for now, and I suppose if anything goes wrong in the future with it I'll just be glad that I bought those blackout curtains for it to hide behind...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great Agree with previous reviews, the rings get stuck where the poles join - not a problem if you are using it for two curtains and cut the pole to centralise the join, but not good if you use a single full width curtain which pulls to one side. The finials are quite a loose fit, had to pack the plastic insert section to make at tight fit. The supplied plastic wallplugs are useless - not suitable for the screws supplied, they just spin in the holes when trying to tighten the screws. I used standard red wall plugs instead which worked fine.
