Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat in-wardrobe shoe storage I bought this item to neaten up my shoe storage. The extending element makes it easy to fit into any size wardrobe and mine fits nicely across the back of my small walk- in wardrobe, underneath my clothes rails and has really neatened up the space and enables me to see all my shoes at a glance. It is more utilitarian than attractive and only good for heals (as flats slide off a bit), but it is incredibly easy to assemble and very practical for storing shoes. Very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent so far I was looking for a shoe rack that was small enough to fit in a limited space yet was also capable of holding some 16+ pairs of men's shoes. This fitted my requirements exactly. Compared with others I considered, this seemed sturdy and not likely to collapse under the weight of what would be placed upon it. It was not the easiest of items to assemble. I had to work out exactly how to place the end pieces correctly - though the picture on the box in which it came was a help here - and largely because the extending rods (which one has to make sure are on the same side) kept on turning when I was attempting to turn the screws which connect them to the end frame. One needs to hold them with a firm grip whilst balancing the frame and turning the screw at the same time. But it's possible. You do need to keep the screws a little loose until the frame is assembled and then to tighten them to the fullest extent possible. So far it's holding up and I do not expect any problems. The colour is described as being 'Silver' but I would say that it's more of a flat 'grey' - certainly not silver chrome - but, whilst this may not be the most beautiful piece of furniture that one possesses, it's functional and its colour makes it less obtrusive visibly. A good piece of equipment which I am hoping will last for a considerable while and which is also flexible. Two further comments: the space between the floor and the lowest rail is sufficient for placing shoes underneath. There is provision for the possibility of attaching a further two rods (although the shelf would be flat rather than slanted). I wonder if this has been considered? Although rods look as if they could be placed nearer to each other than the maximum width, I also wonder if spare rods are available which could be added to existing shelves which may be too wide for smaller - e.g. children's - size shoes? This would enhance the item even further.
