How To Make Reusable Face Pads
Remove single-use cotton pads from your cleansing routine with our step by step crochet instructions and create your own fully washable face pads. Fair warning – this is a crochet how-to, so you’ll need a little know-how before you begin!
How to crochet make-up removal pads
Terms we’ll be using:
Magic Ring
Ch – Chain stitch
Dc – Double Crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
- Magic ring to start, Ch3 then Dc11 into the magic ring. Sl St to the top of the Ch3 to complete the round (12 stitches total)
- Ch3, dc into same stitch. 2 dc into each stitch around. Sl St to top of Ch3 to complete the round. (24 stitches total)
- Ch3, dc into same stitch, *dc into next stitch, 2dc into next stich* around. Sl St to top of Ch3 to complete the round. (36 stitches total)
- Cut the yarn about 10cm from your project then pull through the last loop on your hook. Sew in your ends and you’re ready to go! These can be used to remove make up in a more eco-friendly way as rather than throwing them out you can simply wash them with warm soapy water.
