Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good Even thou someone has stated this is acrylic, it's still wool and you knit with it, very hard to get pure w lol at this great price, everything you knit with is called wool, does not mean it's made of wool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Of course it's wool!! This wool does exactly what it says. Yes, it's acrylic but knits up soft and snugly. It's so quick you can do the scarf on the ball band in just one night, how impressive would that be ?! A larger range of colours in stock would be nice though I appreciate you can't please everyone. Anyone looking for good quality super chunky would not find better at this price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Make your choice It is a personal choice - wool, a natural fibre or acrylic which is man made. It feels nice and is light, but I prefer a natural fibre so would choose wool, although it is heavier. A mix of both would be a good solution. The correct term for something to knit with is YARN and the choice of fiber is personal for the project and the budget. Knitting wool tends to be used as a generic term, a bit like hoovering when few of us have a Hoover ! My advice is to buy what you want after reading the label, as generally they have all the description that refers to fiber and needle and hook size, as well as washing details.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from THIS IS ACRYLIC NOT WOOL WOOL IS A NATURAL YARN made from shearing the fine, soft curly or wavy hair forming the coat of a sheep, goat, or similar animal. ACRYLIC IS AN ARTIFICIAL YARN made from manufactured synthetic fibres.
