Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buyer beware Most curtain widths are 54 inches and you need an even number of rings. Only 11 would fit. So you need to make the cutain narrower.....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't glide I purchased the tape and eyelets two weeks ago. They where easy to fit and look very nice. But when I put the curtains on the 28mm rail, they are VERY hard to pull as the rings don't glide on the rail

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great in theory but SO hard to do! I bought this tape and the eyelets to go with it. I made some curtains in a medium weight fabric. The method looks simple, and the eyelets are meant to snap in to the tape. However it was so hard to do this I ended up with really painful thumbs! Never again! Back to reflected or ready made curtains for me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not included with the rings Having purchased the rings, made the curtains, marked and cut out some of the holes for the rings, I found that the back of the rings is now on this eyelet tape so I had to return to the store to buy some. Then of course the spacing was wrong so I got round this by cutting the rings free of the tape. Thankfully this worked well. It does not say on the ring packet that you need eyelet tape. I have made ring top curtains before and eyelet tape was not needed - Dunelm have changed the design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and straight forward to use We moved into our house and were left the curtains by the previous owners. the curtains were made to measure by Dunelm. They were great quality but were on a track rather than a curtain pole. I bought the eyelet tape and the separate rings to achieve my preferred look. I did not need to watch any tutorials, it was fairly clear how it was meant to be used. I did struggle a little getting the ring over the material, my hands were not strong enough. I put 40 of these rings in one set of curtains. I used a rubber mallet and a flat piece of wood to protect the ring to tap it in (Quite a bash actually) I only broke one ring, the rest went on great. The result is absolutely fab. My only issue is I have another set of curtains to do but cannot get the tape or rings in my local store, trying to get hold of these items is a nightmare. You cannot order these items online or in store. I had to travel 30 miles to my next nearest store for what I've bought, so far. I am left waiting for my local branch to have a delivery (which they cannot guarantee these items will be on) and then, if they do, hoping they don't sell out before I can next get into the store. When you're buying the quantities that I need, it really should be made possible for your customer to order. This is not very satisfactory. The item itself is great though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected, need to buy clips as well So when I was looking at putting together my own curtains the strip that others had used on how to video had clips for the front and back. This price is just for the strip and then have to buy clips for the front only separately. I don't think this feels as secure and difficult to get material to clip into the hole. Also whilst du elm mention that click and collect is easy and saves time, I had to line up at the measuring table which took a long time.

Can you use any eyelet rings with the eyelet tape or does it have to be a specific brand? I can't find any on your website, hence why I am asking... Thanks!

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. Any eyelet rings should be suitable, as long as they have an internal diameter of 4cm. I hope this helps.

Hello the tape has rings on it so does this mean you take them of to make holes then attach, or do I have to buy the rinds separate ? If so how many rings per meter of tape

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Michelle, thank you for your question. I can confirm that you will need to purchase the outer rings also to clamp the eyelet tape in place. You will have to cut rings in your curtains to fix the eyelet tape in place with the separately purchased outer rings. There are 10 rings per metre. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Do I need to take old header tape off curtains before using eyelet tape.

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Linseed Oil, thanks for your question. If you are using previous Pencil Pleat curtains with header tape then yes, it would be advised to carefully remove this before attaching the Eyelet tape to ensure a cleaner, neater finish for your curtains. I hope this helps. Kind regards

Hi, how does the eyelet tape work. I know the rings come with the tape, but if I am attaching to my own fabric do I just detach the eyelets, cut the holes on my fabric & then clip them back on?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thank you for your question. Yes the tape is attached to the curtains by the rings once the holes have been cut. The rings are sold separately to the tape in stores. We also advise to stitch the tape to the top of the curtains for extra strength and neatness. I hope this helps.

I can see that the eyelets are pressed into the fabric of the tape, but how do you use the tape? Presumably I cut holes in my curtain, sew the tape onto the curtain - and then what? Do I need an outer ring to clamp the eyelet to the hole? Thanks!
