Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy!! I love Dunelm products normally but this is the worst bit of kit I have ever bought, the pole looks great, however there is a major design flaw in that the rings do not move on the pole properly, they are always coming off the curtain hooks and getting tangled with each other and get stuck on the fixings, I hate it! We have had it up for a year now as can't afford to replace it so I daily have to stand on a chair and move each ring around, not ideal! Dunelm please come up with a new rind design so I can pull my curtains like a normal person!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating to use. There are limited products on the market for bay windows, so I was made up when I found this. It looks lovely once assembled but is totally impractical. The hooks come out of the rings, and often get trapped on the brackets meaning you can't pull your curtains together. It is also very noisy - the whole street hears me opening my curtains! I also found it frustrating that there are not enough curtain rings in the packet, meaning I had to purchase more. 4 to be exact costing an extra 5.99 per packet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good, terrible to use Had a bay pole for 2 months now and they look great. However as previous reviews they are a nightmare to use. The rings don't glide they snag and catch. The hooks come out of the curtains and the rings even tangle with each other or fall off altogether. I have a nightly battle with my curtains.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely badly designed I bought this a few months ago for a downstairs bay window and now wish i had never set eyes on it. After installing them we realised immediately that there would be a problem as we wanted to install blinds along with the pole, unfortunately this is not possible because the brackets must be drilled at a right angle to the wall and ceiling, leaving no room for blinds to be installed infront of the curtains. We had just moved in at the time and were extremely busy with other things and so we left them with the assumption that we could figure some way around it. After we had finally finished moving all our stuff in we realised the additional issues that have been raised by other reviewers, difficulty closing the curtains, the massive inconvenience if you have eyelet curtains which means you either have to change the curtains or take off some of the brackets to be able to close them, we removed the brackets (moving is expensive, so are new curtains) which means everytime you close the curtains it pulls the rail lopsided. As if all this wasn't enough to put you off, now (three months after buying them) the corner joint on one side has broken and it the pole literally falls apart everytime I try to shut the curtains! Just don't buy it please.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from shockingly poor Awful item, cannot describe how painful it was and failed to hang it as the elbow joints woukd not fit properly. I got so frustrated with it I chucked it in the back garden. I would not recommend this product to anyone. If I had not have cut the poles would have taken back to the shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality This rail is rubbish. We have taken it down because the rings either get stuck or they fall off the rail. We have to stand on the top of the settiee to open ond close the curtains. We have replced it with a plastic rail, not so atractive but at least it works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product This is so frustrating to use. The rings do not pass over the brackets at all. Our curtains are now ruined. A complete waste of money. Do not buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design Although this baypole looks nice the design is extremely poor. Every time I open and close the curtains the rings get caught on the brackets, or fall off the pole. I am always climbing up a ladder to adjust the curtains. I will be looking elsewhere to purchase a better design of pole. Do not buy!!

Can I fit eyelet curtains on this pole?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. Eyelet curtains can be used with the pole, but I am afraid that due to the bracket design, the only rings which can move freely along the pole are the C-shaped rings included; eyelets will not be able to pass over the brackets. I hope this helps.

Would this fit a 5-sided bay window?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. The baypole kit comes with enough fittings for a three-Sided window, but you can buy additional elbow joints, to modify it for a five-Sided window, here: http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/baypole-elbow-joints-45900. I hope this helps.

Hi, can this pole go in a curved bay?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. You can use this baypole in a curved bay window; I would recommend buying extra elbow joints (available here:http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/baypole-elbow-joints-45900) so that the pole can be split into more, wider angles and curve more smoothly around the window. I hope this helps, thanks.
