Trinity Fixed Antique Brass Curtain Pole Dia. 29mm is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 138.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality curtain rail I bought 5 of these poles in various lengths when we were refurbishing our house. The poles are of excellent quality and look really good in a clean modern design. The fitting brackets are adjustable according to how far you want the curtains to hang away from the wall. We had them fitted by our builder because drilling into the window lintels is difficult but if you are fitting them into a wooden window surround it would be an easy DIY job. I measured the drop of the curtains and made sure the top of the pole was exactly this distance above the floor - the curtains hang beautifully. Two of our poles had to be shortened to fit but this was a fairly easy job with a sharp hacksaw and I was able to do this myself before the builder fitted the pole brackets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Appalling engineering Remember Meccano? Well, this a very poor relation. The brackets are so badly designed and the screw to secure pole to bracket is a joke. You get the smallest, bendiest Allen key to try to tighten a badly fitting screw which is meant to secure the pole's position. Atrocious design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good plain well made poles These are excellent value and good quality. The brackets are adjustable to give you extra support for heavy curtains and in terms of distance they project from the wall. You can also cut them down to exavt size with a metal saw. It took my husband 2 hours to put up 2 medium and one long pole. The join on the long pole is invisible behind the central bracket. Take care the joining piece doesn't slip all the way into one side if you are cutting to size - remove it first! All in all very pleased with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality. This is a good quality curtain pole and looks good. Although it is time consuming it is quite straighforward to put the fittings up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy to fit This is a nice-looking pole for the price with one exception: the two sections of the cap at each end do not match. One section screws into the plastic insert at the end of the pole and the second section fits onto the first. Once they're put together like this, they're meant to appear to be a single piece. Because the colours of the two sections vary, however, this intended effect doesn't quite come off, which is rather a shame.

Hi, is the pole length measured from very end to end, or it the distance between where fixing brackets would sit? Thanks

Hi Vicky, thanks for your question. I can confirm that the length advertised for the pole is from one end of the pole to another. Thank you.

Which of the poles come in two parts and which sizes come in one? I am only interested in buying curtain poles which come in one piece that I can adjust.

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Builder, thanks for your question. As a rule, any curtain pole of 240cm and over will be supplied in two halves with 3 brackets. Poles less than 240cm in length will be supplied as one solid piece with 2 brackets for each end. i hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Can I adjust the length of these poles? How easy is it? And is there a limit to adjustments on either end of the pole?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. You can cut the pole down using a saw and instructions on how to do this are included with the pole. If your pole comes in two parts please take care to cut down the same amount on each side, so that once the poles are put together the join is in the middle. However, there is no real limit on how much you can cut the pole down. Also, once cut the pole cannot be returned. Thanks.

The picture is not clear how the pole should be fitted. Do we need to attach it to a wooden baton or are other brackets needed?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. You will not necessarily need a batten, and the brackets can go straight onto the wall. Depending on what your wall is made of battens may be necessary but the instructions included will confirm which material is suitable. You should not need additional brackets, as these are included with the pole. Thanks.

Does the 240 cm pole consist of one length or two lengths? If two lengths does it come with a joining device to join the two together. Are the finials and brackets include in the price? How many brackets are provided for 240 cm length of pole?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, thanks for your question. The 240cm size comes in two parts, with a joining piece in the centre, and it comes with both the brackets and the finials. There are two end brackets and one centre bracket included. I hope this helps, thanks.
