Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fairly cheap item but does the job I was a bit disappointed. Having never bought blinds before i didn't know i needed a slat cutter separate of my purchase. I've since looked in store again and there is nothing to tell you to do so. The cutter itself is very flimsy and difficult to tell measurements. It didn't work on every slat. The ones it worked on it was great but the rest were difficult. As I'm unaware of another product out in general stores it ties your hands but it needs to be more hardy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My tip, steer clear. Cheap and not up to the job Just ruined a perfectly good blind and now I am forced to buy another. The cutter is very cheap and whilst it cuts some slats fine around 1 in 10 it makes a mess of with no apparent reason. The cutter has plenty of play in into and the cut is not at all positive. As it is cut to length you cannot try again and left with poorly cut edges and corners. I consider myself a fairly skilled diy'er and my advice would be to save your money and time and get a better one. I would have give it no stars if I could. Very disappointed and now I have to start all over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat slat edges! Having read reviews I was very concerned about buying to cut blind slats but, with patience, I found it cut neat, tapered edges. It took time to line each slat as put in cutter, so was time consuming, but didn't have issue with size guide moving. Found it was best to work on hard surface and rest slat on a book ~1 cm thick so slat was level with the cutting edge. In all used to cut both edges off 150 slats for 3 blinds for kitchen and utility room. Really pleased with result - look so much better than being cut with scissors!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic I bought this product and I have to saythat its basic you have to be very careful whilst cutting blinds as the adjustment lock is very poor making it easy tocut the blinds to the wrong size

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Click and collect failed. Then a piece missing! I ordered the slat cutter on line but when I went to collect it the staff spent over half an hour trying to find it but couldn't. My wife bought one from another store but the guide was missing. It had previously been repackaged (adhesive tape present) so it looks as though it must have been returned before and just put back on sale.

Will this cutter work on in store sold wood slats?

    Asked by: Al
Hi Al, thanks for your question. We recommend using the slat cutters only for Aluminum and PVC blinds. For wooden blinds we suggest a fine saw and instructions to do this will be included with the blind. I hope that helps. Kind Regards.

A similar cutter I previously bought had a blade that could cope only with a 25mm slat. My current slats are 35mm wide. will this cutter be able to cope with them?

    Asked by: Susan
Hi Susan, thanks for your question. This slat cutter only has a 25mm space to insert the blind slats into before cutting, so a 35mm will not fit on this particular product. I hope this is useful to you.

Does this work for making roller blinds the right size for the window?

    Asked by: Shelly
Hi Shelly, thanks for your question. The Blind Slat Cutter is designed to be used on Aluminum/PVC Venetian blinds only. To modify Roller Blinds it is advised to carefully trim the fabric with scissors. A small hacksaw can be used to trim down the top. I hope this helps.
