Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blind cutter Bought this cutter then read the reviews and thought maybe I shouldn't of bought this particular one!! But I have tried the cutter and it works fine. The best thing to do is practice on a spare slat, you usually have to remove some from the bottom to get the right fit for the window, once I had practiced on the slat and got used to the pressure required and fit of the stat into the cutter, everything worked fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but could be better Worked well for me 8 blinds to trim. But soul destroying as cutter will only cut 20mm each side using guide. I needed 10 mm of each end to keep blinds even. I had to mark each slat with ruler and pencil then cut. Would be better design if allowed to cut to min 5mm each end

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't cut! Blade is not sharp enough to go through slat, didn't cut paper either. Price reflects quality?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Usless I bought this cutter as I couldn't find mine but wish I had not bothered. It looks like it has been put together wrong. I had to measure the gap on the cutter then try it out on my old blind then measure the piece which I had cut off to make sure it was the correct size before I could use it on my new blinds. My old one was so straight forward , I wish I hadn't lost it .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could be perfect with a small adjustment These do give a perfect finish if you have to cut your blinds. BUT the gauge moves and if you don't notice this like we didn't then your slats will be different lengths. look stupid and have to be replaced making it a very expensive product. A simple locking screw would have prevented this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap, but not very good. We bought this to use on the new blind we had bought, as we couldn't find our old blind slat cutter. This was very cheap and, I suppose, you get what you pay for. It is very lightweight, and the slider to measure the blind kept moving, meaning the slats were not all equal length! We had a good look for the other one we had, and luckily found it

Will this cutter work on in store sold wood slats?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Al, thanks for your question. We recommend using the slat cutters only for Aluminum and PVC blinds. For wooden blinds we suggest a fine saw and instructions to do this will be included with the blind. I hope that helps. Kind Regards.

A similar cutter I previously bought had a blade that could cope only with a 25mm slat. My current slats are 35mm wide. will this cutter be able to cope with them?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Susan, thanks for your question. This slat cutter only has a 25mm space to insert the blind slats into before cutting, so a 35mm will not fit on this particular product. I hope this is useful to you.

Does this work for making roller blinds the right size for the window?

    Asked by: Anonymous
Hi Shelly, thanks for your question. The Blind Slat Cutter is designed to be used on Aluminum/PVC Venetian blinds only. To modify Roller Blinds it is advised to carefully trim the fabric with scissors. A small hacksaw can be used to trim down the top. I hope this helps.
