Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money Poor quality and once installed is impossible to draw without standing on a chair and helping every ring over the many obstacles...don't bother

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I bought this today but was unsure due to the reviews..... Simple and straight forward idea that requires a little common sense! Very pleased!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK if you take care Fitted this to a bay with 120 degree angles. That's about the limit. Joints are not smooth enough so fill them with epoxy resin to smooth the gaps. The rings slide easily over the joints then.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only for the experienced. I recently bought this and it was a nightmare to put up. I had to saw the poles to the right length...tough work...and then the supports are less than discrete to look at and very frustrating to put up...then one of the corner joints fell apart and the plastic got stuck in the pole...it took me 5 hours to complete. Hard work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value I bought this to fit our 3 sided bay window. It was easy to fit and the curtains run quite smoothly along it. Well worth the money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bay curtain pole I bought this several weeks ago to update my lounge. Compared to this previous one I had this was 100% better in looks and with fixing. My only complaint would be that the fitting instructions are based on any bay that isn't 90 degrees, this created a problem with cutting sizes. My only saving grace was that I was able to reduce the cuts

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fashion over function is just not acceptable Before I start, I must say I am a loyal Dunelm customer having been shopping here for most of my life as the quality, functionality and value, in my experience, is usually superior to other retailers. However, this curtain pole set for bay windows has been the worst thing I have EVER bought from Dunelm by a country mile. My father fitted the pole quite easily, being an experienced DIYer, the passing brackets fitted in the middle and the two stopover brackets on either end of the bay. The elbow joints also slotted in well, and the brushed brass colour is lovely. This is where the positives end. Once I slid the rings onto the pole and attached the curtains, it was near impossible to get the rings not to topple over each other as they kept getting caught: a) in the elbow joints and b) on the passing brackets. The passing brackets are supposed to do just that, allow the rings to PASS over easily, but it has been a nightmare to persuade each ring to pass over each bracket. When they don't (9 times out of 10) they just snag over each other and when they do (rarely), they snag on the elbow joints. It shouldn't take me 20 frustrating minutes to close my curtains! I'll have to change it back to ugly but functioning track alternative. I am so shocked at the poor quality Dunelm has delivered this time. I hate to write a bad review but it has been so frustrating to get this to work, especially having to shell out for extras based on the size of the bay. Considering the number of negative reviews here concluding the same problems, I am surprised Dunelm has done nothing to rectify the problem. The worst thing is I have now lost a hefty amount of money unsuccessfully trying to get this to work, and cannot even return the pole. Unfortunately, I am sad to say I will now think twice when buying items from Dunelm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not even for a bay window I bought his at it states for bay window but in fact it goes straight across the bay rather then fitting into the angel so I had to return it.

Can I fit eyelet curtains on this pole?

    Asked by: Skimo
Hi, thanks for your question. Eyelet curtains can be used with the pole, but I am afraid that due to the bracket design, the only rings which can move freely along the pole are the C-shaped rings included; eyelets will not be able to pass over the brackets. I hope this helps.

Would this fit a 5-sided bay window?

    Asked by: Rach101
Hi, thanks for your question. The baypole kit comes with enough fittings for a three-Sided window, but you can buy additional elbow joints, to modify it for a five-Sided window, here: http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/baypole-elbow-joints-45900. I hope this helps.

Hi, can this pole go in a curved bay?

    Asked by: Sjlt
Hi, thanks for your question. You can use this baypole in a curved bay window; I would recommend buying extra elbow joints (available here:http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/baypole-elbow-joints-45900) so that the pole can be split into more, wider angles and curve more smoothly around the window. I hope this helps, thanks.
