    Hosting Overnight Christmas Guests

    Santa isn’t the only guest you might be having this Christmas, so if you find yourself hosting friends and family overnight, we have a few ideas that will turn their stay into a 5-star experience. When it’s time for them to turn in for the night, give your guests the treatment they deserve with a luxurious bedding set like our Dorma Brodie bedding range, and complete it with cosy faux fur cushions and a sumptuous blanket in case they get chilly. Bedding doesn’t always have to be bought especially for guests - you can always this as an excuse to treat yourself and use the new bedding yourself post-Christmas. Keep extra blankets and pillows close by in case your guests want to swap anything for a more restful night’s sleep.

    Relax and unwind

    After a long journey, your guests will likely want to be shown where they’re sleeping so they can freshen up before joining in with the festivities. Offer them a cosy pair of slippers to change into and make sure they know where the bathroom is and where they can keep their belongings. Putting towels on your guest’s bed is a standard helpful gesture that saves them from asking later on, but adding some personal toiletries they can use during they stay is a thoughtful touch they won’t forget. A new loofah, body wash and bath bomb are a welcome invitation for them to enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day, and you could even gift them a dressing gown for Christmas so they can wrap up warm afterwards. Don’t forget to ask what they’d like for breakfast the next day, so you can make sure you’ve got everything ready to go, and serve it up their choice of drinks to wake them up and wash it down.

    Extra touches for the room 

    Provide a few snacks (sweet and savoury) in case they get peckish between meals, and a fresh carafe of water,  so they’re comfortable without tiptoeing to the kitchen, and if you have WiFi, leaving a note with the password on it to give them faff-free access. 

    After enjoying quality time with your family and friends, giving them a present that will remind them of their stay is a great way to keep the experience going.
