Choosing a Christmas Tree Skirt, Basket or Bucket

Most Christmas tree skirts are simply placed around the base to hide the stand from view and create a more decorative finish. In many cases you may have to set up the tree stand first, put the tree skirt over the stand, and then lower your tree in, but this will differ depending on the size of the tree and which tree skirt you choose. Some of our products use a folding design that can be wrapped around the base with ease once the tree is already up.

Tree skirts, baskets and buckets all do a similar job in hiding the stand of your tree while providing a decorative flourish; however, buckets and baskets also make for great options if you have a real tree and you need somewhere to place and hide the pot. Their upright design gives you a convenient place to sit a pot or stand, and the wider opening can make watering easier.

When choosing your tree skirt, be mindful of the size of your tree stand. Measure the maximum width of your stand and ensure that the tree skirt you choose is comfortably wider than the stand.
