Natural History Museum x Dunelm

Geologists don’t just study rocks from Earth. They study pieces of asteroids, the Moon, and Mars that have been knocked off the surface by impacts, or that have been collected by human and robotic missions. They use this information to understand how the Solar System evolved since the birth of the Sun, including questioning how planets form, if there could be life on Mars or elsewhere, or even how the water in our oceans arrived on Earth. Our planet is part of a much bigger picture – a cosmos that has fascinated humans since we first gazed at the night sky. Scientists at the Natural History Museum are working at the forefront of space research learn more about the universe and our place within it.
