Standing tall and dominating your bedroom’s furniture, your wardrobe needs to be absolutely perfect if it’s to fit the room’s style. Here at Dunelm, we’ve got pages and pages of exquisite wardrobes to choose from, so we’re guaranteed to have the one you’re looking for.
You can go traditional, and opt for a wardrobe faced with bare wood, the kind that would be recognisable to anyone from the village or the city for hundreds of years. These crafted wardrobes have a natural beauty to them, the grain and knots making them unique and attractive, whatever decor you have in the room. They have a solid and true feel to them that makes them an ever-popular choice. You can choose from oak or pine, depending on your decor.
If your bedroom has more of a modern look and feel, again, we’ve got plenty of fantastic wardrobes to choose from. A simple, sleek look is usually demanded here, often with a plain, shiny colour all over (or at least on the doors) to give the room a muted or vibrant hue, whichever you’re going for.
Mirrored wardrobes are another common choice, and it’s no mystery why. First, it’s an efficient way to bring a full-length mirror into your bedroom so you can properly assess your look before you head out, and that’s advantageous enough. But mirrors also have a secondary purpose: light distribution. The more mirrors you have in the room, the more your natural and artificial light is reflected rather than absorbed, and that spreads the light further. A large mirror on a wardrobe can also give the illusion of more space, too – and that’s really desirable in a smaller bedroom.
Most of our wardrobes aren’t standalone units – they are themed to match beautifully with other items of furniture in our range. So if you’ve already got one of our dressing tables, chests of drawers or bedside cabinets, there’s a good chance we sell a matching wardrobe, which could be an important consideration for a more consistent look across the room.
Features you can choose from include the type of door. While most of our wardrobes have doors that swing open in the traditional way, we also have sliding door wardrobes – perfect for bedrooms that are lacking in space.
We also stock a great range of corner wardrobes. A corner is often a place where you can have wasted space if you have wardrobes or cupboards along two adjacent walls, as you can’t have a door in the corner. That is unless you have a dedicated corner unit. These wardrobes have a door at 45 degrees (which can be mirrored), so you get complete access to the area behind it – no wasted space, and looking great too.
