Practical Sofa Beds For Every Space

Are Sofa Beds Comfortable?


Sofa bed mattresses are typically thinner than standard ones - that's just the trade-off for something that folds away. The quickest fix is a mattress topper, which adds a proper layer of cushioning and can make a real difference to your or your guests’ comfort. Aim for something around 2–3 inches thick - enough to notice without making the bed awkward to fold back up. Or pick a thicker one if you’re happy to store your mattress topper away while your sofa bed is folded up. Good bedding can help too: a decent duvet and a couple of supportive pillows go a long way, especially if guests are staying more than a night.
