The Celandine design, created by John Henry Dearle in 1896, features meadow flowers such as bluebells, campanula, pink blooms and celandine, arranged within a trellis of intertwining vines. Inspired by Morris’ early ‘Daisy’ wallpaper, it combines soft detailing with a structured composition.
The pattern is framed by Dearle’s Foliage design in olive green, whilst the reverse offers a modern pinstripe overlaid with campanula and pink flowers - reinterpreted by the William Morris At Home design team.
