Toilet Seats For Every Bathroom and Household
At Dunelm, we have a wide selection of toilet seats suitable for every household. The most popular ones are our soft close toilet seats which have hydraulic hinges that prevent them from slamming down when they drop. Our plastic toilet seats are lightweight, easy to clean and tend to be the most affordable option. Not only are they highly durable and resistant to staining, but they're also available in multiple colours like white, grey and black. Wooden toilet seats add warmth and a natural feel, and look especially good in traditional or farmhouse-style bathrooms. Our toilet seats come in various shapes - the classic or standard versions are oval and suit traditional pan shapes, while D-shaped seats have a flat front edge and tend to suit more modern bathrooms. Do check your pan shape before buying, as the seat needs to match your toilet.
We also stock a selection of family toilet seats, featuring a built-in smaller seat inside the main seat for little ones. Our 'Stick-n-Lock' toilet seats come with a toddler seat that is held in place by magnets and is easy to remove when not needed. These are great for families with toddlers who are potty training, but if your little one isn't quite there yet, discover our potty training sets with fun designs.
How do I measure a toilet seat?
All of our toilet seat product pages come with a handy guide on how to measure up. To get it right, check the length of the pan from back to front, its width at the widest point, and the distance between the fixing holes. For D-shaped seats, note that the front edge is flat, so measuring to that flat edge gives you the most accurate length. Also worth knowing - toilet manufacturers' sizing can vary, so always measure the pan itself rather than the old seat.
How do I replace a toilet seat?
Most toilet seats are a straightforward DIY job and don't require any specialist tools. Simply unscrew or unclip the old seat from the two fixing points at the back of the pan. The fixings for your new seat will either be top-fixing, where bolts come down through the pan, or bottom-fixing, where bolts tighten from underneath. Everything you need, including bolts and screws, is included in the pack along with a detailed instruction guide.
