Washing Up Bowls and Drainers

You probably want to spend as little time as possible at the kitchen sink, but want your plates, cups, knives and forks to be as sparkly clean when you come to use them. That’s why you need the best equipment for washing and draining your tableware. Dunelm has all the help you need in that department, with a great range of washing up bowls and drainers to help you get the job done.

Drainers

Let your cutlery and crockery drain for a few minutes before drying, and you’ll find you get more drying out of your tea towels because everything will be that much drier. But it’s always worth investing in a decent drainer , especially if you’ve got expensive crockery. Poor quality dish racks can be too hard and have sharp edges that might crack and chip your plates and cups. Our draining racks are the best possible quality, meaning you can look after your kitchenware while giving everything a good rinse.

If you’re a little short of draining board space or have lots of washing up to do, our multi-level drainers could be just what you’re looking for. By stacking two levels one on top of the other, you can drain cups and small plates down below and your larger things up above. For even more efficient use of space, a cutlery drainer keeps all your knives, forks and spoons upright – and they’ll drain quicker too.

Washing up bowls

If you wash up directly in the sink, you’re probably used to coming across a half cup of cold tea, coffee or juice, and you’ve got nowhere to empty it. Put a bowl in the sink and you can pour your liquids down the side, perfect if you don’t have a draining section in your sink unit. Of course, washing up bowls have many more uses than that – you can use them to expand your sink space, for example to have a soaking bowl or a rinsing bowl, or you can carry it around when you’re cleaning the windows or your car. Whatever you use it for, a washing bowl is a handy thing to have in the home, and we’ve got plenty to choose from, in round or rectangular, in a host of colours to choose from.
