Sideboards are making a strong comeback, with interior designers increasingly recognising their low-rise appeal. The modern take on this look has moved on from the coffin-like boxes of the 60s and sideboards are now bright, understated and functional pieces of furniture. Storage is still important in these modern incarnations but they’re now waist height so as not to overpower a room.
Our sideboards have been designed to complement the modern home. Available in long and short versions, it doesn’t matter how much wall space you have – there’s a sideboard to fit. Lengthy versions can accommodate a TV and well as your possessions, while small sideboards can utilise useful wall space. In terms of storage, they include cupboards and shelves, perfect for hiding away everything from crockery to toys. In terms of décor, there’s solid, traditional bare wood styles, painted wood sideboards and those with a contemporary chrome finish.
