Pouffes & Footstools
Put Your Feet Up
Do you like to put your feet up when you’re relaxing? Then do it properly with a well-chosen footstool or pouffe. The main difference between the two is that the former has three or four feet, whereas a pouffe is more of a cylindrical, spherical or box shape that sits straight on the floor. Both are cushioned and covered, but a pouffe is a little less formal.
You won’t know how you survived without these handy little pieces of furniture and many have been designed as part of a sofa or armchair set. Alternatively, choosing a footstool or pouffe for a splash of colour or a contrasting look can be extremely effective, especially if you have wooden floors. While primarily to rest the feet on, both footstools and pouffes are cushioned and upholstered so can be used as a seat, especially for younger children. Footstools with storage are also useful; because of their shape, they are a great way to declutter your living room. Just lift the seat, store away and you’re done.
